Personal Development

Physical & Mental Health
The ‘Wellness Hub’ at our Belfast Head Office is available for all our employees to use at any time throughout the day to help improve both our physical and mental health and wellbeing. Wellbeing Consultants facilitate a range of exercise classes and provide expert guidance on topics such as nutrition, mindfulness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
For those in non-head office roles, Lagan will pay for gym memberships for employees and GymFlex offers discounted annual gym memberships via Salary Deductions for family.
We also have a team of mental health first aiders across the business, acting as a first point of contact for people with mental health issues, providing support and guidance. They act as an advocate for mental health in the workplace, helping to reduce stigmas and enact positive change. They help to identify causes of mental health problems and suggest ways that these can be resolved.
Volunteering Day
We understand that our employees support a range of community initiatives throughout the year that are important to them for many different reasons. To acknowledge this we encourage every employee to book one paid volunteering day each calendar year to support a good cause.
